Quick Charts

Creating many of the charts commonly used in finance and consulting with native Excel functionality alone is complex and tedious. Quick Charts automate much of this complexity, reducing it to just a few mouse clicks.

When you create a new Quick Chart, a preferences dialog offers options for orientation, sizing, formatting, and labeling. TheExample button populates a chart with sample data to illustrate the required structure. Macabacus remembers your preferences for future charts. For most Quick Charts, in-worksheet options allow you to customize the chart's appearance at a later time, even without Macabacus installed.

100% Native

All Quick Charts are 100% nativeā€”no proprietary objects are used to create them that would render them unusable by anyone who does not have Macabacus installed.

Most Quick Charts are created on new worksheets to prevent Macabacus' calculations and in-worksheet chart options from interfering with the original chart data.

Waterfall Chart

Excel 2016 introduced native waterfall charts. Macabacus waterfall charts offer advantages: (a) intuitive data structure without needing to identify totals, (b) remembers last used settings and colors, and (c) better-looking, formatable connector lines. Native waterfall charts require no additional calculations and allow individual bar colors.

However, the native waterfall and other new chart types in Excel 2016 are buggy and lack key functionality, preventing export to PowerPoint/Word using Macabacus and other add-ins.
